“The Purple xPeRIeNCE” to Make it Rain Purple at Gold Strike Theatre Dec. 12
TUNICA, Miss. (June 9, 2025) – Gold Strike Casino Resort, the Mid-South’s premier casino resort destination, welcomes “The Purple xPeRIeNCE” at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12 at the Gold Strike Theatre inside the casino.
“The Purple xPeRIeNCE,” the world’s best Prince tribute band, brings the iconic sound and spirit of Prince to life in a stunning, fully live production led by Minneapolis native Marshall Charloff. Co-founded in 2011 by Charloff and Matt “Doctor” Fink, the original keyboardist from Prince & The Revolution, the band is renowned for its faithful recreations of Prince’s legendary performances, delivered by a roster of elite musicians, who hold the elite destinction of paying homage to Prince with a completely live and untracked performance.
Marshall Charloff channels Prince with uncanny precision, from his masterful command of guitar and piano to his smooth falsetto and electrifying stage presence. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer, Charloff’s career includes collaborations with music legends like the Commodores, Little Anthony & The Imperials and several members of Prince’s musical family. He’s performed as a solo artist with more than 25 symphony orchestras across North America and headlined a Las Vegas residency with his one-man tribute, “Purple Piano.” His performance credits include iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheater and appearances on full-length PBS broadcasts.
Backing Charloff is a powerhouse ensemble of Minneapolis-based musicians: Tracey Blake (guitar), Ron Long (bass), Ron Caron (drums) and Cory Eischen (keys), each with deep industry experience performing alongside artists such as New Power Generation, Christina Aguilera, the Rembrandts and Soul Asylum. Together, they create a live concert experience that honors Prince’s artistry with musical integrity, visual flair and unmatched passion.
Now in its 15th year of touring, “The Purple xPeRIeNCE” has captivated audiences worldwide, performing for over one million fans. The band was officially licensed by the Prince Estate in 2019 and was also selected by the U.S. Department of State to be featured in the USA Pavilion of the World Expo in Dubai.
