The Family Stone

The Family Stone
TUNICA, Miss. (Oct. 20, 2025) – Gold Strike Casino Resort, the Mid-South’s premier casino resort destination, will host The Family Stone at 8 p.m. March 20, 2026, at Gold Strike Theatre inside the casino.

The Family Stone continues on the legacy of Sly and the Family Stone through a tapestry of notable music greats, and is the only band authorized by the legendary Sly Stone to carry on the legacy of his music.

The group is led by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Sly and the Family Stone founding member Jerry Martini — affectionately known as “Papa J,” who Stone credited as the visionary behind the group. Joining Martini is powerhouse vocalist Phunne Stone, daughter of Cynthia Robinson and Sly Stone, whose electrifying performances pay tribute to her parents’ musical legacy while carving out her own.

Other members include a dynamic lineup of world-class musicians, including bassist and musical director Blaise Sison, lead guitarist Nate Wingfield, lead vocalist Swang Stewart, keyboardist Jimi McKinney and drummer Frank Klepacki, whose standout talents alone have carved out a name for themselves in the music industry.

The Family Stone pays tribute to the legendary Sly and the Family Stone, who made history in 1966, forming America’s first major multiracial, multigender touring band. Their infectious blend of funk, soul, R&B, rock and psychedelia catapulted them to international fame, with hits such as “Everyday People,” “Dance to the Music” and “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin).” Martini helped shape the band’s revolutionary sound alongside an iconic lineup that included Sly Stone, Freddie Stone, Rose Stone, Larry Graham, Greg Errico and the late Cynthia Robinson.

Carrying that spirit forward today, The Family Stone continues to spread the message that has defined the band from the start — unity, peace and love for “everyday people.”

Tickets start at $39.50 and go on sale Oct. 24. Tickets may be purchased by calling 888-747-7711 or by visiting goldstrike.com.
